The Lumina absorbent insert made of hemp and cotton is a wonderful companion for you and your baby. The insert is ideal for increasing diaper absorbency without adding bulk. Hemp is a great material that is resource-efficient and can be grown locally. Thanks to its body-hugging shape, the insert doesn't crumple in the crotch, thus offering your baby increased comfort.
Since hemp hardens more quickly, I recommend using the insert as a base layer rather than directly against your baby's skin. A great combination is, for example, the bamboo insert or the bamboo charcoal absorbent insert from Lumina.

Since it is a natural material, the insert can shrink by up to 15% when washed.
It takes approximately 6-10 washes for the pad to reach its full absorbency. However, washing it once before first use is sufficient.
